Welcome to Empowered Theology

For years, I navigated two seemingly incompatible worlds. In my early career, studying Applied Mathematics in Mexico City and working in microeconomic research, everything was governed by rigorous structures, frameworks, and objective data. Then, as my calling shifted fully into pastoral ministry at Rompiendo Fronteras Church, my daily life became immersed in the dynamic, often unpredictable power of the Holy Spirit.

In many Charismatic and Pentecostal circles, there is an unspoken assumption that these two worlds cannot coexist. We are subtly taught that intellectual rigor quenches the Spirit, and that structural governance limits the supernatural. We are asked to choose between the fire of revival and the order of the mind.

But as I delve deeper into my Doctor of Ministry (DMin) research at Asbury Theological Seminary, I am more convinced than ever that this is a false dichotomy. A true move of God requires the foundation of the Word. The Holy Spirit does not bypass the mind; He illuminates it. We do not check our brains at the altar.

So… Welcome to Empowered Theology.

This publication is a space for leaders, pastors, and thinkers who refuse to compromise on either front. We are building frameworks for ministries that are Charismatic in power, yet orthodox in thought and cruciform in praxis.

To fully engage with the global academic discourse, and to bring the vital, lived experience of the Latin American church into a broader conversation, my weekly essays here will now be published in English.

Here is what you can expect every week:

  • Healthy Church Leadership: Translating theology into actionable governance, ensuring our church structures are as sound as our doctrine.

  • New Testament Studies & Exegesis: Anchoring our spiritual experiences in rigorous biblical theology.

  • Pentecostal Theology: Exploring the historical and doctrinal foundations of the Spirit-empowered movement.

  • Supernatural Ministry: Practical frameworks for prophecy, healing, and worship that honor the Spirit without breeding chaos.

A note on cadence and access

Navigating the beautiful demands of a growing local congregation in Honduras alongside doctoral studies means my schedule is heavily saturated. There will be moments when my capacity is stretched, and I ask for your patience. My commitment is not to churn out volume, but to offer deep, measured reflections that actually serve your ministry.

Moreover, because I believe the theological architecture for healthy Charismatic leadership should be accessible to every pastor—especially those in the Global South—every single essay published here will always be 100% free. There are no paywalls. However, if these resources bless your ministry, you can choose to become a paid partner to voluntarily support my ongoing DMin research and the production of these tools.

The global church desperately needs models of leadership where the supernatural is stewarded with deep integrity. Let’s build them together.
